One of our recent posts highlighted the ever-present Divvy Bikes. They’ve been all over the city for months now, and they’re showing no signs of slowing. Divvy bikes, however, fall under a larger industry umbrella known as ride-sharing. You’ve likely heard of Uber, and you may even know of some of the similar companies such as Lyft and Sidecar. The success of these companies in other cities like San Francisco has caused conflict with traditional cab companies. We’re now seeing those conflicts spill over into Chicago. As California moves to regulate ride-sharing companies, it’ll be interesting to see if Chicago follows suit. For more, check out this article.
